Most gemstone advice online is either vague or frightening. The practical rules are simple, and they matter more than any elaborate ritual.
Which wrist, which hand
In common practice the left side receives and the right side projects. Stones worn for calm, healing and attraction — moonstone, rose quartz, citrine, pyrite — usually sit on the left wrist. Stones worn for drive and protection — red jasper, black tourmaline, tiger eye — often sit on the right.
If you are left handed, reverse it. The non-dominant wrist takes less impact and the bracelet lasts longer.
Timing that people actually keep
Traditional timing links stones to planetary days: Friday for Venus stones, Thursday for Jupiter stones, Monday for the moon. Wearing a stone first thing in the morning after a bath is the common recommendation.
That said, a stone you actually wear beats a stone you kept aside waiting for the right day.
Metal, thread and combinations
Our pieces are strung on strong elastic thread in free size, so metal compatibility is not a concern. If you also wear a ring, silver suits cooling stones and gold suits warming ones.
Two or three intentions at a time is plenty. Stacking six competing stones is how people end up feeling nothing at all.
Cleansing
Cleanse once or twice a month: incense or camphor smoke for a minute, or a few hours in indirect moonlight. Avoid soaking pyrite, rudraksha and karungali in water.
In short
One clear intention, the correct wrist, worn daily, cleansed monthly. That is the whole discipline.
